A little more about our brilliant speakers this month:
Suzanne Heathcote is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter based in the UK and USA. Her writing career began at the Royal Court Theatre when her first play, CONCRETE FAIRGROUNDS, was chosen as part of the Royal Court Young Writers' Festival. Other plays include: PLOT 10 (Heat & Light, Hampstead Theatre), SO. (LabRats New York), I SAW MY NEIGHBOR ON THE TRAIN AND I DIDN'T EVEN SMILE (Berkshire Theatre Group), NEVER LET ME GO (Adapted from the novel; Rose Theatre/Bristol Old Vic). For television Suzanne was a Lead Writer/Executive Producer for KILLING EVE (BBC America) and has been a writer/producer for various shows including: THE MINIATURE WIFE (Peacock); FEAR THE WALKING DEAD (AMC); THE CROWDED ROOM; LITTLE VOICE and SEE (Apple TV+). For film Suzanne co-wrote the upcoming Netflix/Amblin movie adaptation of Richard Osman’s THE THURSDAY MURDER CLUB.
Lucy Rawinson is Head of Development at Monumental Television, overseeing projects at all stages of development across their diverse TV slate. Prior to Monumental, she was a freelance Script Editor and Story Producer across a range of productions, including HIS DARK MATERIALS S2 (Bad Wolf for BBC and HBO), BAD SISTERS (Merman for Apple TV +) and A TOWN CALLED MALICE (Vertigo Films for Sky). She also spent a number of years working in-house at Big Light Productions, script editing three seasons of MEDICI for RAI and Netflix. Lucy began her career over a decade ago at Shine Drama, working on the family fantasy drama MERLIN for BBC 1.
