The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), the Scottish Maritime Cluster and the Workboat Association invite you to join the latest of our decarbonisation events. The event is for the offshore wind sector and will be relevant to all vessels involved in the construction and maintenance of offshore wind farms.The UK-wide conference will be held in Glasgow at the City of Glasgow College on the 22nd of February 2023. We have convened leading industry and Government experts to provide the latest research and evidence regarding decarbonisation pathways, and some inspiring speakers and exhibitors to support you on your path to clean shipping.The objectives for the day are: <ul><li>To bring people together to share key information and guidance on decarbonisation for offshore wind vessels. To get insights and feedback from stakeholders and owner operators and to feed this into relevant parts of the UK Government. </li><li>To catalyse action, investment, decision making and secure progress in decarbonisation in a focused part of the maritime sector. </li></ul>The day will kick off with dynamic speakers setting the scene for us all to take the next steps in decarbonising shipping. The MCA will present their latest independent findings on what the likely pathways will be for these vessel types. There will then be a series of solution focused workshops addressing some of the key challenges in decarbonisation from ports, infrastructure and fuel supply to seafarer training, regulation and innovative technology. In the afternoon we will be hosting an exciting exhibition and series of roundtable discussions where technology providers, industry innovators and key government leads will be available to continue the discussions.

The afternoon will also consist of two sessions of workshops - one at 1.30pm and the other at 2.15pm. You will need to decide which out of the four available workshops you would like to attend for each session and we would be grateful if you could outline your preference when booking. 1.30pm workshop choices:<ul><li>Skills, training and seafarers and decarbonisation</li><li> Incentives and motivations</li><li>Sustainable UK Maritime economy and the enabling environment</li><li>Energy Efficiency Measures</li></ul>2.15pm workshop choices:<ul><li>Ports and infrastructure</li><li> Innovators and new tech</li><li>Shipbuilding – offshore and decarbonisation </li><li>Regulation, safety and a supportive regulatory environment</li></ul> The day will end with an evening reception hosted in Glasgow (optional).
