** ON DEMAND - Watch any time in April and May! **

This is a recording of TA Workshop: Developing Trauma-Informed Approaches in Your Setting hosted by Twinkl TeachMeet in January 2026. This recorded session is designed to help TAs, LSAs and HLTAs support children and young people who have experienced adversity with confidence and compassion.

This recorded session (recorded 19.1.26)hosted by Becky Dawson, our National Wellbeing Lead, explores how trauma can affect learning, behaviour and emotional regulation, and provides practical strategies for teaching assistants supporting children and young people to feel safe, connected and ready to learn.

In this recording, you’ll learn how to:

  • understand the impact of trauma on children and young people's learning, behaviour and regulation;
  • apply practical, trauma-informed strategies to everyday classroom situations;
  • support children and young people who have experienced adversity;
  • build confidence in fostering a calm, supportive classroom environment;
  • use relational approaches to strengthen trust and engagement.

This recording is ideal for TAs, LSAs and HLTAs who want to deepen their understanding of trauma-informed practice and develop practical tools to support all children’s wellbeing and success.
