Session Content

We will examine how ideas about politics, sustainability, authenticity, and the cultural value of work have driven the growth of the craft beer market, and what this means for

  • Branding
  • Communication
  • Articulating your value proposition

The Craft Beer Industry

Often charging super-premium prices for a pint of beer, this industry has seen rapid growth over the last fifteen years, moving from a small, niche market, to a globally significant sector, commanding significant supermarket shelf-space.

Some of the ‘winners’ in this story, like BrewDog, have gone from two men selling beer from the back of a van in 2007, to a global business with more than 100 bars, four breweries, and an estimated value of $2bn.
