Join this workshop and experiment with creating a stencil design to translate images into embroidery designs. Students will explore a combination of beading and hand embroidery to bring the design to life. This is a great technique to upcycle clothing/accessories and for those wanting to experiment with using more image-based designs/silhouettes in their work in a playful way.
Learn to develop ways in which to upcycle using embroidery techniques and embellishment with a focus on image. By the end of the session students will have developed the skills to create a stencil design as well as experimented with a combination of hand embroidery techniques using ribbon, a range of threads, sequins and beads. Ultimately developing a playful way to embellish and upcycle!
