This programme looks at the Marylebone of 2017 as part of this great world city of London. The performance demonstrates that we are all part of one creation and we have nothing to fear from each other; that we don’t have to do anything, it’s all already done. Artists (musicians, poets, writers, composers, visual artists) who have been born into each faith, have chosen secular or religious texts, poems or songs from their own heritage on the universal subjects of ‘love of the whole of nature or creation’ ‘equality, justice, freedom for all’ and‘erotic love’. There will be performances from artists brought up in Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism. The performance is combined with projections of the abstract paintings of Alice Sielle, which instigated the project and visually interpret the theme.
Performers: Ranjana Ghatak, Tami Tal, Leon Silver, Merit Ariane Stephanos, Avaes Mohammad, Harpriet Kaur, Harkesh Kaur
One Creation is presented in partnership with Song in the City
