What is it?
Our Online Office Hours are a series of one-to-one sessions with various experts from the legal and accounting sectors to support tech startup founders on their journey. In this one, participants will be able to engage directly with and receive personalised advice from Nancy Hawthorn, Founder & Legal Consultant at SEIS-GO. SEIS-GO was launched by Nancy Hawthorn with a vision to simplify S/EIS.SEIS/EIS eligibility is a critical part of attracting investment – yet working with an accountant or lawyer can make this an expensive, drawn-out process. Who is Nancy Hawthorn?
With over 3 years’ experience as a Senior S/EIS Consultant and SEIS Team Lead, Nancy specialises in preparing successful SEIS & EIS Advance Assurance applications, having worked with hundreds of founders to prepare S/EIS applications with a 98% success rate.She has extensive, in-depth expertise on the SEIS & EIS schemes having supported UK & international startups across all sectors, particularly those in tech, AI, health, finance, farming, energy, and university spin-out companies. Her specialism is complex SEIS & EIS applications, having led on 50+ HMRC pushbacks and brought 90% to a final approval. Her team won EISA awards in 2022 and 2023, having developed novel approaches to multi-layered patents, pivots in trade and cross-border group structures.Nancy has 1st in Law from The London School of Economics (2021) and a training contract offer from city law firm, Herbert Smith Freehills.
