Online Practice Educator Workshop registration

The School of Human Sciences offers a wide range of courses in subjects includingapplied biology,biomedical sciences,chemical and pharmaceutical Sciences,nutrition and dietetics, andsports science and therapy. Students have access to an impressive range of specialist facilities as well as support from experienced, highly qualified and enthusiastic academics. Graduates of our human sciences degrees have gone on to work for companies such as the NHS, the Nutrition Society, Arsenal and Chelsea Football Clubs, and GlaxoSmithKline, working as consultant nutritionists, sports therapists, lab researchers, food technologists, microbiology technicians, biotechnologists and more.

Thank you for registering your interest for the Online Practice Educator Workshop.  We will be in touch with you within two weeks to provide you with a username and access to the materials to complete the course.

The London Met Placements Team

This workshop is entirely accessible online but aims to prepare supervisors new to training dietetic students in London or refresh knowledge for experienced trainers. The workshop is comprehensive, including all topics covered in the face to face Introduction to Practice workshop as well as some additional London Met specific course information.This includes:* The London Metropolitan University academic course content prior to each placement* Expectations for Practice Based Learning 1, 2 and 3 placements* Learning outcomes and paperwork* Teaching and feedback during placementOnce you have registered for the online workshop, we will be in touch within two weeks to advise you of your username and provide you with access details to the course. From then, you will have approximately 1 month to complete the training. The full package should take 4-6 hours maximum but can also be split up to allow you to complete flexibly.
