Online Q&A – Commercial Extensions and Alterations SPD

Hackney Council is consulting on updated guidance to support businesses in making improvements to commercial buildings and shopfronts. This new SPD replaces the older 2006 Shopfront Design Guide and includes:

• Extensions to non-residential buildings
• Plant and equipment
• Shopfront design and signage
• Accessibility improvements
• Supporting sustainable growth for local businesses

The session includes:

• A short presentation by Council officers
• Overview of the draft SPD
• How to have your say
• A Q&A session

Open to business owners, commercial tenants, design professionals and anyone interested in the future of Hackney’s high streets.
