Hackney Council is consulting on three draft planning guidance documents (SPDs) to support better design, sustainability and clarity in how planning applications are assessed.

This session focuses on the Residential Extensions and Alterations SPD, which provides updated design guidance for home improvements such as extensions, outbuildings, bin and bike storage, air source heat pumps, and accessibility features.

The session will include:

A short presentation from Council officers
An overview of what’s changed since the 2009 version
Information on how to respond to the consultation
A live Q&A with time for your questions and comments
