Louise Lockhart is back by popular demand for another Orange Beak evening!

​Louise is an illustrator living in an old mill in Yorkshire. She spends her days creating designs from littlepaper cut outs and line drawings, dreaming up worlds where men still wear suits and hats. Inspired by everyday life around her, her work is humorous and playful. Her recognisable bold colour palette comes from using a variety of print techniques such as screen printing and risograph. Her designs have been applied to everything from pencil cases to pyjamas as she has worked for clients such as Boden and Anthropologie. She has recently had published Along The Pier by Design For Today and The Encyclopedia of Unbelievable Facts by Frances Lincoln As well as working as a freelance illustrator, Louise also applies her illustrations to products for you and your home, which she sells in her online shop The Printed Peanut.

​Hear Louise talk about her work in detail, discussing her process, inspirations, and how she has developed a successful career and her tips for doing so. There will be a Q&A after Louise talks. ALSO! Louise will lead an activity, so there is a chance for you to create a piece of art on the night from the comfort of your own sofa.
