About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 15 minutes

ONS Local has been established by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) to promote evidence-based decision-making at the local level. We aim to host insightful workshops which will provide practical, technical support to help users make the most of ONS and cross government data. Birmingham City Council have developed and run the Birmingham City Observatory, a public, open data platform on a wide range of characteristics of the city. Danny O’Neill, its creator, is an expert on creating PowerBI dashboards.

Want to truly understand your colleagues? Join Danny O’Neill from the Birmingham City Observatory along with Kelly and Anju from Birmingham City Council’s Engagement and Wellbeing Team to learn how to design and execute an effective internal colleague survey using best-practice methodology from Engage for Success. We’ll walk through the entire process—from collecting meaningful responses to transforming raw data into compelling insights using Power BI.

By the end of the session, you’ll know how to:

✅ Structure an effective staff survey

✅ Analyse key trends and engagement levels

✅ Create impactful Power BI reports for senior leaders

Whether you're in HR, management, or data analytics, this session will equip you with the tools to turn employee feedback into action. Sign up now and start making data-driven decisions that improve workplace engagement!

This event is open to all; however, we anticipate it will be of most interest to anyone working with PowerBI dashboards to analyse data.
