ONS Local Workshop: Improving access to ONS data through an API

ONS Local has been established by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) to promote evidence-based decision-making at the local level. We aim to host insightful workshops which will provide practical, technical support to help users make the most of ONS and cross government data.

At this workshop, members of the ONS Data Dissemination team will explain how they are rebuilding their Dataset Catalogue API from the ground up ... the challenges they've faced, the approach they've taken, and their plans for the longer-term future of the service. We will also explore how building a Community of Interest around the new API will help us understand and meet the needs of users.

This workshop is open to all: we anticipate that it will be of most interest to users of ONS data through the Dataset Catalogue API.
