About this Event

Notice regarding change of date

We are revising OPEN2020 to more accurately reflect its nature as a rolling programme of events and an evolving platform being created by the School’s staff and Students.

As a consequence, the date of the student exhibition has changed to Thursday 16th July at 18:30 from the originally scheduled 2nd July. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

OPEN 2020 is going virtual as an exhibition of projects that reflect the varied design approaches of the University of Westminster's School of Architecture + Cities, its diverse students, and their place at the heart of London.

The free event celebrates the openness and diversity of the University of Westminster’s Architecture and Design students and includes an extensive range of creative student work from first year to graduation. Its projects explore architecture at all scales, from door-handles to territories. OPEN 2020 exhibits all manner of hand and digital drawings, models, films and prototypes in a virtual setting.

It will feature the works of more than 750 students, drawing on the vast body of developmental and finished work imagined and realised over the course of the last academic year. The show will transform student work into digital assets, creating an extraordinary display of new architecture and a compelling visitor experience.
