Open Access Evaluation Workshop

The What Works Centre for Local Economic Growth is part of the What Works Network. We analyse which policies are most effective in increasing local economic growth. We are jointly run by the LSE and Centre for Cities and funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and the Department for Transport.

<H3>Evaluation workshop (open access)</H3>
<P><SPAN>The What Works Centre for Local Economic Growth hosts quarterly evaluation workshops to help </SPAN><STRONG>economic development practitioners think about how they can evaluate the economic impacts of their local economic growth policies more effectively.</STRONG></P>
<P>The open access workshops are open to <A HREF="https://www.ied.co.uk/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Institute of Economic Development </A>members, and employees of Local Enterprise Partnerships, Local Authorities and Combined Authorities. These workshops are targeted at policy and programme officers, monitoring and evaluation officers, procurement officers and strategic decision makers in LEPs and Local Authorities, but they may also be of relevance to others.</P>

<P>We also offer bespoke training session to groups within individual Local Enterprise Partnerships and Local Authorities. You can find out more about these sessions <A HREF="http://www.whatworksgrowth.org/about-us/our-workshops/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</A>. The structure and content of the day are similar whether you attend a public session or arrange a bespoke session.</P>
