Open Creative Session

Women’s Lives Leeds (WLL) is a unique partnership of eleven women and girls organisations from across Leeds. Between them they have specialism’s in domestic violence, mental health, sexual health, sex work, trafficking, child sexual exploitation and education.WLL have come together to support the most vulnerable women and girls in Leeds. The women and girls are experiencing mental health problems, domestic abuse, sexual violence and exploitation. Many will have experience of the criminal justice system, sex work and substance misuse. WLL will focus on the most disadvantaged communities.WLL is made up of the following organisations: Leeds Women’s Aid incorporating HALT, Behind Closed Doors, Getaway Girls, Hooner Kelah, Together Women, Women’s Counselling and Therapy Service, Women’s Health Matters, Shantona, Basis, Asha Neighbourhood Project and Nari Ekta.The project launched on 1st November 2016 and has funding from the Big Lottery for 4 years.

Women's Lives Leeds

We are running free, fun and interactive creative sessions with women and girls across Leeds to help us to develop 2 brands that will represent the women and girls of Leeds – Women Friendly Leeds and the Leeds Women and Girls Hub.
We have been visiting groups of women and girls across Leeds to capture their ideas and preferences. We are running these open sessions for any woman or girl who would like to be involved in this exciting project.
This will be your chance to contribute to city-wide initiatives and have your say, to make sure that the brands are developed by women and girls for women and girls.
You don't have to be an artist, or even consider yourself creative in order to get involved. Enthusiam and willingless to give it a go is all that is needed!
Refreshments will be provided. This venue is not fully accessible so if you have access needs please get in touch. This is a child-friendly session so please feel free to bring children with you but please let us know if you plan to do so.
