Event description

Description

To kick-start the OpenCon London satellite event, we will be hosting a full-day hackathon before the evening event. Places are limited, so get your tickets before they're gone! We will provide snacks on the day.

The hackathon will include two sub-themes:

  • Open for reproducibility: Following last year’s successful hack, we will reproduce the analysis and figures of published research from the raw data (using papers that have also published code).

  • Open for collaborative-coding: Participants will get together to work on open-source tools for Open Science, with a specific focus on tools supporting reproducible research.

For more information, and to propose a project for either track, see details here.

After the hackathon, we’ll then have the main evening of discussion and debate. Please note that you must register separately for this via the main OpenCon site, and purchase a ticket here. Both events will be at the same venue.
