The state of global unrest in reaction to the death of George Floyd — and many others at the hands of police brutality — is symptomatic of the deep inequalities that have rightfully sparked anger and activism from Minneapolis to Margate.

OSE aims to make the arts a more open, non-exclusive and accessible sector. We are committed to anti-racism, and stand in solidarity with our Black colleagues, learners, alumni, and all those fighting racial injustice.

We understand that we still have a long way to go — and that via our programmes and partnerships, we must do more to dismantle structural systemic barriers and ensure Black voices are better amplified through our platform.
