Our Voice Staff Event

Event Aims

• Inspire each other to engage more and celebrate the advantages of involving service users, families and the public in improving the health and social care services of Scotland
• Support NHS and local authority staff to increase confidence and knowledge in engagement for improvement
• Demonstrate tools and techniques that show Our Voice values in action
• Launch Our Voice website and 3 online network forums
• Promote awareness of Our Voice framework

Be more than a delegate - get involved!

Our Voice is all about engaging with the public and with service users and their families to give their views and share their experiences. We are keen to share good examples however small and local or big and national these are and would encourage you to sign up as a contributor not just a delegate and share your experiences. Our Voice is a way of working and we want to see all parts of Scotlands health and social care services involved.

Once you have registered as a contributor we will email you with a link to a story telling part of the our Voice website where we will ask you to describe your engagement activity:

1. What did you set out to achieve? Why did you want to involve people?
2. What did you do?
3. What worked well? What impact or change came about?
4. What could have been better? What would you do differently next time?
5. What's your top tip?

We want to have a wide range of experience including all parts of Scotland and a range of initiatives including engaging with people whose voices are often missing such as children and young people, people with learning disability, people with mental health challenges, people from black and minority ethnic groups and many others.

We will confirm your place at the event by November the 20th. We reserve the right to select delegates and participants to give this spread of experience rather than a first come first served basis.
