David Keenan is the author of five critically-acclaimed novels; the cult classic This is Memorial Device, which won the London Magazine Prize; For the Good Times, which won the Gordon Burn Prize; The Towers The Fields The Transmitters, Xstabeth and Monument Maker, which was a Rough Trade Book of the Year. David's cult novel This is Memorial Device, which tells the story of an imaginary band from Airdrie, was turned into a one man play starring Paul Higgins which garnered 5 star reviews from London to Glasgow. David comes to Outwith to read excerpts from the novel as well as discuss the process of adapting it for the stage.
