Owl Pellet Dissection
Join the Hull Mammal Group for an owl pellet dissection workshop! We will be dissecting owl pellets to look for rodent skulls and bones.
Join us on the 21st of Janruary at 17.30 at the University of Hill for an hour long owl pellet dissection workshop. We will meet in the sutdents union BR9. You can access this room by goign through the main entrance of students union and taking the lift or stairs to the second floor.
The event will start with a short introduction to the Mammal Society’s Searching For Shrews project, in partnership with the Barn Owl Trust, and instructions on how to dissect an owl pellet. Attendees will then be given a chance to dissect their own pellets and identify the different bones they find.
All supplies and equipment will be provided.
There is parking at Wilberforce Car Park on campus and additional street parking near the venue. The venue is wheelchair accessible and toilets are available on location.
