Description
Enter a physical learning environment to follow instructed lessons by an ‘Ai’ character on three screened monitors and ‘Pi’, a live human instructor. These two authoritative roles - irl human and digital copy - both call for attention, stacking up an array of instructed activity. This cognitive pattern play is reflected in graphic scores that map movement throughout the green-glowing space.
P-iD vs π-ed is a collaboration between Rachel Cheung and Piedad Albarracin Seiquer, which probes human cognitive and agility functions in a world of online self-learning cultures.
The installation is conceived to be used in a movement class, where you are guided through the cognitive pattern grids. No previous experience is required. You can join this participatory performance on either
