Parents And Children Together (PACT) has been building and strengthening families since 1911.PACT creates families by recruiting, assessing and approving prospective adopters to be matched with children looking for their permanent, loving home. It provides specialist adoption support to all its families for life.PACT supports and empowers women who face multiple disadvantages to make positive changes to their lives through its Alana House Community Project and it supports children to heal from the trauma of domestic abuse through its Bounce Back 4 Kids programme.PACT is a non-profit making charity that relies on fundraising and donations to be able to provide its vital trauma-informed support to families, women and children.

Alana House - PACT

PACT’s community projects, <a href="https://www.pactcharity.org/alana-house/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Alana House</a> and <a href="https://www.pactcharity.org/bb4k/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bounce Back 4 Kids</a>, will be hosting an open day on Friday 3rd March between 9.30am and 3.30pm in Reading, Berkshire. The event will be a celebration of International Women’s Day with the aim of providing more information on both of our trauma informed services including the outcomes we achieve for women and families (please note that BB4K also supports male survivors of domestic abuse). In addition to a presentation on our work the PACT team and some of our service users will also be available for informal tours and to answer any questions. The day will include an opportunity to buy artwork by the women of Alana House plus our recipe book that was compiled by service users and staff during the Covid-19 pandemic. Our community café will also be open serving hot drinks and cakes.In order for us to manage numbers safely we kindly ask you to sign up to a 2 hour time slot. Please do feel free to drop in anytime within the 2 hour window. Our address is 2 Southern Court, South Street, Reading, RG1 4QS (please come to the front door accessed on South Street). Please note that we don’t have parking available for guests.The time slots are:<ul><li>9.30am – 11.30am (with a presentation on our work at 10am)</li><li>11.30am – 1.30pm (with a presentation at noon)</li><li>1.30pm to 3.30pm (with a presentation at 2pm)</li></ul>Places are limited so we may need to hold a waiting list should we be oversubscribed.The event is open to all and we encourage you to share this invitation with anyone you know who may wish to attend.
