Paddy Montague Live —An Evening of Stories, Poetry &amp; Pure CraicPaddy Montague’s live show is a warm, lively journey into the heart of Irish and Ulster-Scots storytelling tradition where the audience doesn’t just watch, they become part of the night itself.Blending storytelling, poetry, music and humour, Paddy brings an authentic voice shaped by tradition and lived experience. A gifted seanchaí he draws the audience in with “wee yarns,” sharp wit and the kind of natural humour that keeps the room in stitches from start to finish. Expect laughter, reflection and those unexpected moments where a simple story lands with surprising depth.A highlight of the performance is his musical talent, featuring guest appearances and traditional tunes including work with the 2025 Ulster Fleadh fiddle winner adding a rich layer of Irish traditional music to the evening.Paddy’s creativity extends beyond the stage. He is also known for his original works in poetry, often inspired by photography and visual storytelling translating captured moments into spoken word with emotion and clarity. His writing weaves together Irish and Ulster-Scots influences giving voice to culture, place and memory in a way that feels both authentic and deeply personal.Alongside his storytelling shows he also be performing over the weekend his unique theatrical experiences such as “Molly and Johnny” &amp; "The Viking" audience engaging productions filled with character, comedy and lively participation.The setting of his main show is as much a character as Paddy himself an atmospheric front parlour scene by a glowing fire where a well worn suitcase spills out an array of hats, each one unlocking a different tale or persona. It’s here we meet “the man beneath the cap,” a storyteller who shifts seamlessly between humour, history and heart.Rooted in tradition yet alive with modern energy Paddy Montague Live is a celebration of Irish storytelling, Ulster-Scots heritage, music, poetry and audience participation.
