Paediatric First Aid Training

The Link website is funded by theChildren Learning and Skills Directoratein Slough Borough Council. It is aimed at current and future education professionals in Slough, particularly teachers and early years practitioners.We have a strong and vibrant education system in Slough characterised by good educational outcomes for children and a growing spirit of collegiality andpartnership workingacross schools and between schools and the LA.We hope that the Link will become a powerful tool to strengthen the education system in Slough by supporting the communication of education priorities and facilitating collaboration across schools and settings.  Please visit our website for further information.

This training has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Early Years Workforce Development Coordinator, Hazel Thorpe, for the attention of practitioners in Early Years settings, in the private and voluntary sector including childminders.
Please note a 2% booking fee applies when registering for this training.  There are two options for payment; you can either pay by card using the Eventbrite payment process or pay via invoice.  If you choose to pay by invoice, please DO NOT use the Invoice from Eventbrite as we will invoice you separately using a Slough Borough Council Invoice.

This training course meets Ofsted requirements, and is a nationally recognised qualification in Paediatric First Aid which is valid for 3 years.
It is a requirement to attend BOTH days of the course to complete the full 12 hours and fully participate in activities during the training:

All places must be booked and a confirmation for your place will be sent to you by email.  Please bring your own lunch for both days.  Tea and coffee will be available throughout the training. 
The training leads to appointed person status, providing information on the essentials of first aid for the care of children and babies including:

Bleeding and resuscitation

Head injuries
</LI>
<LI>

Poisoning and exposure to cold and heat

asthma attack
</LI>
<LI>
meningitis and febrile convulsions
</LI>
</UL>
Assessment is undertaken in order to ensure that delegates fully understand the requirements for first aid and are able to carry out protocols in CPR and emergency treatment.
