Paediatric First Aid Training

The Link website is funded by theChildren Learning and Skills Directoratein Slough Borough Council. It is aimed at current and future education professionals in Slough, particularly teachers and early years practitioners.We have a strong and vibrant education system in Slough characterised by good educational outcomes for children and a growing spirit of collegiality andpartnership workingacross schools and between schools and the LA.We hope that the Link will become a powerful tool to strengthen the education system in Slough by supporting the communication of education priorities and facilitating collaboration across schools and settings.  Please visit our website for further information.

This training has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Workforce Development Coordinator, Hazel Thorpe, for the attention of practitioners in Early Years settings in the private and voluntary sector including Childminders.
Please note the total cost of the training includes a 2% booking fee.  There are two options for payment; you can either pay by card using the Eventbrite payment process or pay via invoice.

It is a requirement to attend BOTH days of the course to complete the full 12 hours and fully participate in activities during the training.  
All places must be booked and a confirmation email will be sent to you upon registering.  Tea and coffee will be available throughout the training however lunch will not be included.  Please bring your own lunch on both days.

This training course meets Ofsted requirements, is a nationally recognised qualification in Paediatric First Aid which is valid for 3 years. 
The training leads to appointed person status, providing information on the essentials of first aid for the care of children and babies including: Anaphylactic shock, burns and scalds, choking, bleeding &amp; resuscitation, head injuries, epilepsy, allergic reaction, poisoning and exposure to cold and heat, asthma attack, meningitis and febrile convulsions.
Assessment is undertaken in order to ensure that delegates fully understand the requirements for first aid and are able to carry out protocols in CPR and emergency treatment.
