PALESTRINA: The Lost Years

The Iken Scholars are back at All Saints' Blackheath with a brand new programme delving into the life of the renaissance titan: Palestrina!

We'll be looking at his early successes in Rome, before being beset by a series of personal tragedies that ultimately led to the longest period in Palestrina's lifetime where nothing new was published, only to emerge unexpectedly into the his most prolific compositional period.

It's a fascinating and hardly-known story with an array of incredible pieces!
