Papercutting Workshop

Hello! I am an Artist based in Sheffield. My work is varied and includes: papercut artwork, mural painting, prop making, print and animation.I work predominantly with paper and specialise in making tiny plants, flowers and insects for commission. I am interested in the engineering that goes into creating something beautiful from a sheet of paper, and use a scalpel to ensure I can make fine detailed cuts.I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2013 with a First Class in MArt Animation specialising in stop-motion animation and puppet and set production, I am now an Associate Lecturer on the course and teach Art Direction and Set Design in Animation part time.Other organisations/people I have worked with are: BBC, End of the Road Festival, Jo Peel, Museums Sheffield and The Lost Brothers amongst others, on a wide range of diverse projects. I enjoy making intricate artwork with a sense of fun and a pop of colour.

I'm really excited to be able to provide this workshop for the Endless Love Makers Market! There are very limited spaces to ensure you get as much one to one time as possible.
Design and make a beautiful 3D Flower out of paper.
Using a scalpel and cutting mat we will cut several layers of paper, to your own design, and then piece together to create a 3D Flower. Once together we add a stamen and then all layers are added to a Box Frame for you to take home.
No experience necessary, however, we will be using surgical scalpels.
All materials provided.
16 and over.
