Who can join? Everybody can join!
Is the walk accessible? - Yes, we'll be walking at a leisurely pace, with a break for storytelling, ensuring everyone involved stays with the procession. The route is entirely step-free for those with wheelchairs and mobility aids to be a part of the joy.
Do I have to dress up? We absolutely encourage participants to dress up: get colourful and creative! We will also have some pre-made parade props, so if you're caught short of a whymsical look, you can have something to carry.
On the morning and early afternoon of the same day, we have 2 FREE crafts workshops for the parade: One is decourpage parade lanterns, and the other is flower crowns and mystical headwear.
Can I partake in the procession, but not join the final dance? - Absolutely! There is zero pressure to be involved in every part. If you'd rather sit back and watch the dance, feel free to clap along and encourage others to partake in a way that is comfortable for them.
🎉 PARADE will take place from 5pm on the Arches promenade (Croft Walk) on Saturday, 30th May. Join us for dragons, guided dance, and magic.
