The Francis Crick Institute is a biomedical discovery institute dedicated to understanding the scientific mechanisms of living things. Doors and House of Illustration exhibition open from 6.30pm. Workshop from 7 to 9pm.
 
To celebrate the installation of Paradigm, an impressive new piece of public art at the front of our building, the Francis Crick Institute has teamed up with the <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.houseofillustration.org.uk/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">House of Illustration</A> to run a free creative workshop that will introduce the sculpture and the ideas behind it.
Suitable for adults, the workshop will be led by professional illustrator <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.moniquejivram.com/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Monique Jivram</A>, with support from Crick scientists. Come along to try your hand at the technique of thread drawing and create a unique illustration that explores the imagery of Paradigm, geometry and structural biology, and plays with the boundaries between 2D and 3D forms.
This workshop is free but booking is essential. Refreshments will be provided.
