Founded in 2005, Festive Road is an inclusive and inventive community arts organisation.With our unique fusion of art and engineering and craft, we aim to bring communities to life; making ‘art’ relevant, participatory and accessible to all; with an emphasis on cohesion, confidence-building, creativity, imagination and cultural celebration.

Come down to Festive Road’s workshop and create a lantern for the parade, as part of this year's Paraffinalia!
We are running two lantern making sessions on 4th December:
10.30am -1pm and 2pm - 4.30pm ...and we’ll be making dragons!
All ages and abilities, and families, are welcome. Booking is essential as places are limited.

 6-8pm - FREE EVENT
Join Festive Road for Paraffinalia 2016! Get your wellies on, dress up warm, bring the family. Hot food will be available to purchase; bring some marshmallows too if you like - there’ll be open fires; extraordinary light installations; a lantern parade; interactive activities; plus an amazing finale spectacular!
Come and find Gywnhaff the Dragon; the frozen world of ‘ICE’; light a candle for a loved one; and get up close to some amazing creatures and attractions.
There will be so much to see, do and explore for all ages!
For the main show you will be taken on a journey through a portal into ‘the other world’... where we find the red knight on his winter throne, his quest is frozen and his heart immovable...but not for long. The fire will be brought into his cold blue world and he must overcome the challenge of the Red Knight before the great dragon of all dragons is eventually called!
This year’s show promises to be more spectacular than ever with live performance, giant puppetry, pyrotechnics and specially created music.

Why is there a charge for the workshops?
The charge is to cover payment to our artists and costs of materials
 
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to take part in the workshop?
Children need to be accompanied by an adult.
 
What are my transport/parking options for the workshop venue?
There is ample free parking on-site
