  • Check on the organizer page for more workshops.

Dear Parents! Welcome to our Parent Workshop on Attention and Participation in Early Childhood. In this session, you will learn why attention matters so much for children under 5, and how it supports play, learning, building relationships, and everyday routines like meals and bedtime. We will explore what attention looks like in young children, why short focus spans are normal, and how some children may find it harder to stay engaged. Together, we will look at the different factors that can affect attention — such as sleep, routines, diet, health, and sensory processing. You will discover simple, practical strategies to support your child, including building routines, adapting the environment, and using play and sensory activities. We will also share community resources and encourage reflection so you leave with tools, ideas, and confidence to help your child thrive.
