Gwyneth Hinds

A workshop for mums &amp; dads who carry a BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation and their partners exploring the issues for their children.
When a parents carries a BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation, each of their children has a 50% chance of inheriting the mutation. The evening will discuss how to talk to children about genetic mutations, cancer and gentic testing. We will look at the evidence that suggests that a healthy lifestyle as a child will reduce the risk of cancer as they get older.
This event is only for those with BRCA mutations and their partners. Participants are invited to contribute £5 per couple towards expenses.
