Would you like to find out about a way for groups to start a discussion with decision makers about improving public services?Participation requests are part of <a href="http://www.communityscot.org.uk/resources/policy-developments/community-empowerment-bill/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act</a>. Over the last two years, community groups across Scotland have been making them to public bodies such as local authorities and health boards, and the Scottish Community Development Centre (SCDC) is trying to help more people to learn about them.The workshop aims to help attendees to:•	understand what participation requests are•	think about whether they are a good approach for you to take•	learn how to make one•	know more about working with others to improve public servicesThe workshop will be particularly relevant to community groups with protected characteristics or who are experiencing poverty, as well as anyone who supports or works with these groups.There will be a light lunch between 12:30pm -1:pm.The workshop will be delivered by Paul Nelis from Scottish Community Development Centre (SCDC), and is being facilitated by CVS Falkirk.
