We also support individuals and families to help them address long-standing issues including: social isolation, unemployment, and drug addiction.

Passing the Baton Befriending Service - Transforming lives through friendship in Edinburgh

Bethany Christian Trust invites you to join us for our two part inspiring training sessions which will equip you towards build meaningful friendships with people who have been homeless previously or at risk of homeless in Edinburgh. These free training sessions are open to Church members who want to befriend people back into their community by demonstrating God&#x27;s love in action in Edinburgh.Part 1: Tuesday evening, 12th October, 7.00pm – 9.15pm on Zoom•	Why is friendship important? •	What is transactional analysis? •	Why do we need boundaries and confidentiality? Part 2: Tuesday evening, 19th October, 7.00pm – 9.15pm •	What makes a good conversation? •	Listening to understand and support people •	Helping people to empower themselves to take action Join us for these inspiring times together of learning, encouragement and information to develop your important role as a Befriender in the community
