Patch and Score

Patch and Score

Overview

Create your own improvised electronic live scores to accompany an analogue film.

A one-day workshop improvising live electronic scores to warmly whirring reels of analogue film, facilitated by Oram Award-winning composer and synthesist Loula Yorke.

Create a live score on a compact analogue synthesiser to accompany 16mm projections by Cube Cinema founder and Nacheleben studio head, Graham Hogge.

The session kicks off with instrument designer, Tom Whitwell, giving an introduction to the instrument we'll be using for the day, the Music Thing 'Workshop System'.

No experience necessary. All technology provided. Sound-curious visual artists welcome.

Bring lunch / Order in from Harvey&Co Bakery Café next door.

Asylum Studios is an accessible venue.
