1-day hands-on analogue sound arts workshop facilitated by composer and synthesist, Loula Yorke, at Asylum Studios in Suffolk.

SPLICE

An introduction to splicing and projecting 16mm analogue film led by Cube Cinema founder and Nachleben studio head, Graeme Hogg.

• Select your scenes, ambiences and visual material from carefully curated reels of found footage.
• Edit the old school way by splicing and joining films into new forms, rhythms and cut-ups, offering new dimensions for live scoring.

PATCH

An introduction to the Music Thing 'Workshop System' compact synthesiser, led by instrument designer Tom Whitwell.

• Spend time patching up a compact modular synthesiser
• Improvise your own live electronic scores to warmly whirring reels of analogue film

No experience necessary. Bring headphones (3.5mm stereo jack).

You're welcome to bring your own Workshop System and/or your own 16mm footage to add into the mix!
