Overview

Have you ever wanted to try patchwork but didn't know where to start? If you’d like to have a go, I’m running taster sessions for beginners.

Hello! My name is Sarah Gill and I have been making patchwork quilts for over 30 years. During that time I have introduced family and friends to this craft, and I would love to introduce it to you too! These taster sessions for beginners are on Saturdays from 10am to 1pm.

Each session will cover the basics of rotary cutting and machine piecing, making up one of 3 designs:

Week 1, 16th May: Rail Fence
Week 2, 23rd May: Log Cabin
Week 3, 6th June: Nine Patch

Fabric and threads are provided; if possible please bring a sewing machine and personal haberdashery items.

You are welcome to book for one or more sessions.

Tickets are £45 per session, which includes a 50% donation to the Reimagining Project at Trumpington church.

The sessions take place in The Bakehouse (next to the church) at 1a Grantchester Road, Trumpington, Cambridge CB2 9LH

Parking for the church is in the grounds of Trumpington Hall, on the right hand side of the drive just beyond the white gate – or on the roadside.
