PATH2EOSCUK Use Case Development Workshop

PATH2EOSCUK Use Case Development Workshop

Online event
Overview

.

The Open Science Cloud (EOSC) has been in development over the past decade and aims to provide researchers across Europe with an open and trusted multi-disciplinary environment that supports the production, sharing and reuse of FAIR data. The UK has been involved in many European Commission funded projects to establish and implement EOSC but activity across the UK has been fragmented and there is a need to map past and current activities as well as to raise awareness of the potential benefits of EOSC among UK RPOs.

PATH2EOSCUK Use Case Development Workshop

This PATH2EOSCUK project is being undertaken by Jisc, DCC and UKRI between May - November 2026 to explore the potential creation of a UK EOSC node. This virtual workshop will share the results of an initial mapping undertaken by the PATH2EOSCUK project to build a shared picture of EOSC related activities in the UK. This interactive workshop will introduce the concept of use cases in the context of EOSC, provide an overview of existing use cases from the first wave of EOSC nodes, and begin the process of co-defining one or more use cases from the UK research infrastructure community.

Who should attend?

We welcome participation from all interested parties but especially those involved in developing and delivering digital research infrastructure services and support. The outcomes of this workshop will be shared to enable wider consultation and contributions from the community.
