The work of the SPC across mainstream schools supports leaders in developing/reviewing a curriculum that is ambitious for SEND pupils, with strategic and practical ideas to ensure it is coherently planned and sequenced. We support teachers to successfully adapt the curriculum in order to meet the needs of pupils with SEND, developing their knowledge, skills and abilities to apply what they have learned with increasing fluency and independence. Our evidence-based model will help develop a personalised approach that is designed to help learners to remember long term the content they have been taught. Pupils with SEND can then achieve the best possible outcomes.
