SEND Pathways to Employment Event

This annual event is for young people aged 16–25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), their families, carers, and professionals.

It provides information and resources to support the transition into employment and adulthood, in a friendly and relaxed setting.

Families of younger children are also welcome to attend to learn more about future employment pathways.


What to expect:

Meet organisations offering disability-specific employment support, including:

  • Tottenham Hotspur Foundation
  • Ambitious about Autism
  • Care Trade UK
  • Haringey Works
  • The Harington Scheme
  • Mencap
  • West Lea
  • Shaw Trust
  • JCP (Job Centre Plus)

Learn about

  • Supported internships
  • Supported Employment schemes
  • Workplace support (Access to Work, reasonable adjustments)
  • Specialist employment support for Haringey residents with learning disabilities and/or autism


Agenda

  • 12:00 PM – Doors open, refreshments available
  • 12:15 PM – Presentation
  • 1:15–2:30 PM – Meet supported employment providers and partners
