Come join us at The Heart of Newhaven Community for an exciting workshop where you'll learn how to draft your own Bespoke jacket pattern. You will be guided through the process of pattern drafting and fitting to ensure your jacket is tailored perfectly to your unique measurements. This hands-on workshop is perfect for anyone looking to elevate their sewing skills.Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn a valuable skill and walk away with a pattern to create a perfectly fitting jacket at home.

Please bear in mind we will be drafting at the cutting table so you will be stood up most of the time apart from sewing and breaks.

All materials will be provided but you will be required to bring a small sewing kit with you.

Tea,coffee and sweet treats will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch, although there is an Asda a few minutes walk away and two cafes in close proximity should you desire.

Frequently asked questions

Is this workshop for beginners?

No, workshop attendees will need good machining skills and have some experience working with commercial patterns.

Where is the Heart of Newhaven and is there parking?

The Heart of Newhaven is a few minutes walk from the ‘Newhaven’ tram stop. There is also plenty of free on street parking. Please be aware the studio is on the top floor and there is no lift.

What equipment will I need?

A small basic sewing kit will be required. I will send out details upon booking. All materials and thread will be provided as well as sewing machines. You are welcome to bring your own machine, just let me know.
