Welcome to Hasu Innate Wellbeing, where wellbeing begins within.
I am Stef, the founder. I am passionate about helping busy individuals reclaim balance and 'Find their Zen' through calmer minds and grounded bodies to live happier lives.
A former corporate executive, longstanding Qi Gong and Yoga practicioner, I am an IMTA accredited Zen meditation and mindfulness teacher, part of the Zenways teacher community and a student of Zen Master Daizan Skinner.
I spend my time helping others, in and outside the workplace, to find their Zen by sharing what I have learnt during two decades of personal and professional journe, overcoming my own share of challenges, to live more sustainably amidst the pressures of our fast paced modern world.
Passionate about nature, the outdoors and still a keen, albeit less bouncy, equestrian, I live in Derbyshire with my two children, our cat and our two hens. When not sharing and connecting with others, you will find me with my nose in a book avidly learning, walking the beautiful local countryside or travelling far and wide on professional training, retreats or just exploring the world with my kids. Being 100% Italian, preparing slow and wholesome food for family and friends is one of my favourite ways of sharing love.
Hasu Innate Wellbeing is anchored in three principles 1.Wellbeing comes from within us and it is therefore accessible to all of us, regardless our circumstances 2.Mind and Body are not separate and we can learn how to help them work in alignement 3. Change is always possible and it develops from awareness, conscious choices and consistent practice.
Through the ancient practices of Zen Meditation and Mindfulness, we can access our innate sense of wellbeing, reconnect mind and body and cultivate the awareness from which to make new choices and build healthier habits. And Just like the lotus flower (Hasu, 蓮 or はす in Japanese) we can too rise unstained from the muddy waters each day.
Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, low, worried or stuck, you are not alone and you can benefit from this work. This journey is accessible to anyone, all it takes is curiosity, an open mind and ultimately practice. Follow us for the latest programmes and to join the Hasu family, I would love to practice together.
The benefits of meditation and mindfulness are backed up by over 40 yrs of scientific research and with practice anyone can enjoy those. Here are some:
Deeper sleep, Reduction of stress and Burnout, Alleviation of anxiety and depression, Less mental rumination and mind chatter, Improved management of chronic pain, Better emotional regulation and resilience, Stronger immune system, Lower blood pressure, Sharper cognitive functions (Concentration, memory, focus and clarity), Reverse ageing
DISCLAIMER: The Hasu Innate Wellbeing programmes do not promise miracles, quick fixes or blissful escapism, rather the simple reassurance that sustainable results are within reach, commensurate to your personal commitment to practice. Anyone who is involved in sport, music or other disciplines knows that practice makes perfect, commitment is key and that the journey is rarely plain sailing. With this is mind, you have all you need to succeed and I wish you all the best on this wonderful journey.
