About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

Peach Preach is a storytelling initiative by Guxim Nuhiu, a student at the University of Westminster. Originally launched in North Macedonia under the Albanian name Tregime Pjeshkash, the initiative aims to create a safe and free space for women and girls to share their stories.

This is the 14th edition of the event, organised in collaboration with the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Peter Bonfield. It marks the debut of Peach Preach in London and will shine a spotlight on powerful narratives from the Balkan diaspora living in the city.

The theme of the evening is Unveiling – a space for women to voice stories they’ve never shared aloud before. Whether it’s a defining experience, a moment of transformation, or something long held in silence.

Peach Preach holds space for these voices with care, respect, and solidarity – inviting us all to listen, reflect, and connect.

Our Vision

Peach Preach is more than an event – it’s a space to challenge norms, amplify women’s voices, and archive lived experiences through storytelling. It’s grounded in four core pillars:

🍑 Challenging Sexism – Women and girls face daily sexualized comments that reduce them to objects. With Peach Preach, we reclaim the word “peach,” often used to objectify, and turn it into a symbol of resistance and voice.

🍑 Valuing Women's Voices – Traditionally, societies in the Balkan region were shaped by patriarchal norms, where decisions were made in male-dominated spaces. Peach Preach opens a new kind of chamber – one where women's stories, experiences, and knowledge lead the conversation.

🍑 Shaping Public Opinion – Women are still largely missing from public debates (around 20% of guests), with all-male panels still the norm. That’s why Peach Preach brings an all-women panel to the forefront, challenging the imbalance and making space for powerful female voices.

🍑 Women Oral History – Storytelling is how knowledge once travelled – heart to heart, voice to voice. At Peach Preach, we carry this tradition forward, preserving women’s experiences as part of our living memory.
