<DIV><SPAN>Join us on Thursday March 8th for our inaugural International Women's Day Rally Ride as part of our #vote100 season.</SPAN></DIV>

<DIV CLASS="_1mf _1mj"><SPAN>The theme of #IWD2018 is Push for Progress which for us is #PedalforProgress. We will be joining the global call for gender parity and highlighting the fact that we all need to be able to access our communities safely if we are to continue the work started by our suffragette and suffragist ancestors. </SPAN></DIV>
<DIV CLASS="_1mf _1mj"><BR></DIV>
<DIV CLASS="_1mf _1mj">There will be two start points and distance options for this ride: Queen's Gardens in central Croydon (5.30pm:a 10 mile loop) or <A HREF="https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Cycling+Made+Easy/@51.318977,-0.1416147,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x4875fda0b48073e1:0x823411cbd0f9503a" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Cycling Made Easy</A> in Coulsdon (6.45pm: a 5 mile, one way ride) so that as many people who live or work in Croydon can join as possible. </DIV>
<DIV CLASS="_1mf _1mj"><BR></DIV>
<DIV CLASS="_1mf _1mj"><SPAN>The route will follow the Brighton Road into Coulsdon and back, along the line of Croydon's proposed protected cycle track. As we will be riding in the dark, we will adorn our bikes with lights and will be bringing a party playlist of special selected </SPAN><SPAN CLASS="_5zk7"><SPAN><SPAN>#IWD2018</SPAN></SPAN></SPAN><SPAN> tunes to make sure our message is heard loud and clear.</SPAN></DIV>

<DIV CLASS="_1mf _1mj">We will finish at Matthews Yard studio for our rally speeches, where we will invite our riders to join us in sharing stories as part of Miranda Roszkowski's '<A HREF="http://www.100voicesfor100years.com/voice-of-the-day" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">100 Voices for 100 Years</A>' project.   </DIV>

<DIV CLASS="_1mf _1mj">Please note: we have a limited number of e-bikes available to use during the event but these MUST be booked in advance, so use the email below to let us know if you need to reserve a bike.</DIV>
<P><STRONG>FAQs</STRONG></P>
<P><STRONG>Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?</STRONG></P>
<P>Children are welcome but they need to be accompanied by an adult. They need to be able to stop and start safely and should be able to ride at least 4 miles comfortably.</P>

<P><STRONG>What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?</STRONG></P>
<P>Queen's Gardens is a short walk or ride from both East and West Croydon stations, though you will need to check the cycle restrictions on services out of London after 4pm. Cycling Made Easy is close to both Coulsdon Town and Coulsdon South stations.  </P>
<P><STRONG>What can I bring into the event?</STRONG></P>
<P>It will get dark at 6pm so lights are a legal requirement. And let's turn out bikes into beacons: as many lights as possible please! The IWD colour is suffrage purple so if you have something puple to wear, please do. You will also need to dress accordingly for the weather; we recommend gloves and a waterproof jacket for spring riding (at least-obvs).</P>
<P>What you don't need to bring is a bike: we have a limited number of e-bikes available to use as part of our ride but these MUST be booked in advance. Please contact us for further details.</P>
