Peer co-reflection
An opportunity for peers across sectors to come together to share experiences and learn from one another
This partnership was born from a shared belief: that lived experience is powerful, that connection heals, and that peer support must always remain rooted in community, humanity, and hope.Recovery Cymru brings the heart of grassroots peer support — choice, authenticity, and the belief that recovery is personal and self‑defined.
Cardiff & Vale Lived Experience Team brings the commitment to embed those same values within the NHS, ensuring they are protected, not diluted, as peer roles grow.Together, we created these co‑reflection sessions because:
- Peers are peers, wherever they work — substance use, mental health, physical health, disability, community or NHS… our shared humanity connects us.
- We all need a place to come together — a space to breathe, reflect, share stories, grow our community and draw strength from one another.
- We want to keep peer support grounded and real — protecting the grassroots spirit that makes peer support powerful, even inside large systems.
Our hope is simple:
That these sessions become a home for peer workers — a place where lived experience is honoured, where voices are heard, where community is built, and where the heart of peer support continues to grow strong across Cardiff and the Vale.
