New Music Scotland (NMS) hosts a series of dynamic peer-to-peer sessions designed to bring together professionals from across Scotland’s new music community. These informal yet focused gatherings create space to exchange ideas, share experiences, and tackle the challenges facing the sector.

This session will allow participants to discuss the challenges involved in commissioning and getting multiple performances for new work, and explore how commissioners and promoters might work closer together to create more opportunities.

Promoters, producers, ensembles, organisations and artists involved in commissioning and organising performances of new music.

• The current environment for new music performances
• The challenges involved in getting works commissioned and toured
• Possibilities for collaborating to help get more work off the ground.
