Join us for Percussion Discussion, a free 6-week wellbeing course led by Ade Anifowose at the African Caribbean Centre. Using rhythm, reflection and guided discussion, this course supports emotional wellbeing, stress management and personal growth, grounded in the Five Ways to Wellbeing.
This is a welcoming, culturally rooted space to pause, reconnect and focus on your wellbeing through creative and reflective practice. No musical experience is required.

What the Course Covers
Week 1 – Wellbeing & Well Being (CONNECT)
Explore what wellbeing means to you and the importance of connection with self and others.
Week 2 – Stress Management (BE ACTIVE)
Learn practical, accessible ways to release stress using movement, rhythm and activity.
Week 3 – Mindfulness with Breath (TAKE NOTICE)
Slow down and build awareness through breathing, rhythm and mindful attention.
Week 4 – Goals, Dreams & Vision (KEEP LEARNING)
Reflect on your journey and reconnect with your goals, dreams and future aspirations.
Week 5 – Shadow Self (GIVE)
Gently explore hidden or unspoken parts of self with compassion, acceptance and self-care.
Week 6 – Review, Reflect & Renew
Celebrate progress, reflect on learning and set intentions for the future.
Who Is This For?
This course is open to adults who want to:
- Improve their wellbeing
- Manage stress in healthy ways
- Take time for reflection and growth
- Be part of a supportive community space
No prior experience is needed.
