Performance, Image & Exposure (PIE)
Performance, Image and Exposure
PIE: Performance, Image & Exposure – what impacts career success
The three components of career success – what they are and why they matter as much as knowledge.
From childhood through to university, we’re rewarded on the basis of how hard we work and how well we perform in knowledge tests. As we transition into work, the focus is usually on technical skills. However, this alone is insufficient to progress a career.
How individuals deliver work, how they relate to others and who knows them and for what, are as important as what they do.
This session examines the PIE ingredients of a successful career: Performance (what is delivered), Image (how an individual delivers and is perceived) and Exposure (how visible someone is – strategic relationships) and gives practical tips to work on the all-important, yet often neglected areas, of image and exposure.
Joanna Gaudoin, Inside Out Image (https://insideoutimage.co.uk/) specialises in helping ambitious professionals and their organisations improve performance and achieve their goals.
She does this by helping them master and strategically use the business skills of Personal Impact and Relationship Management. These skills are required for professional success.
Before establishing Inside Out Image, Joanna worked in marketing and consultancy in large corporates. She understands the business world and its challenges. She now helps organisations and individuals understand how to succeed in it.
