The Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Enterprise Partnership (LEP) was formed in October 2010 to help drive forward sustainable economic growth in our area.We bring together local businesses, education providers, voluntary organisations and social enterprises, and the public sector to tackle key barriers to growth, such as skills development, infrastructure issues and funding.

Devolution – what it could mean for your business The Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough LEP and Opportunity Peterborough would like to invite you to attend a free breakfast event at the Eco Innovation Centre in Peterborough on 9th August 2016 to find out more about what the proposed Devolution Deal means for business and to have your say on the proposals. The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Devolution Deal includes: 
<UL>
<LI>£20 million per annum for 30 years to fund local infrastructure improvements, such as roads and railways</LI>
<LI>£100 million housing fund to invest over the next five years to build more new homes</LI>
<LI>Transferring other powers and funding that currently sit with Government down to the Combined Authority, in areas such as public transport, apprenticeships, and helping people to get back into work</LI>
<LI>A Combined Authority for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough with a locally elected Mayor</LI>
</UL>
Government has asked us to gather your views on the proposals, which are the result of many months of hard negotiating by the local authorities and LEP. At the event, Neil Darwin, Chief Executive of the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough LEP, will share an insight into the detail of the Devolution Deal, before opening up the floor to feedback and questions.
